This obesity and cardiovascular disease research study is enrolling adults who have been diagnosed with atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, including prior heart attack, ischemic stroke, or symptomatic peripheral artery disease. Adults aged 45 and older with a history of cardiovascular disease and a BMI of 27 or higher may qualify.
You must have had one of the following: a heart attack (MI), an ischemic stroke, or peripheral artery disease (PAD), such as leg pain while walking, artery surgery, or amputation due to circulation issues.
Yes. You must have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27 or higher, which falls within the overweight or obese range.
